Disney XD Orders Live-Action Superhero Comedy Series ‘Mighty Med’

The multi-camera project, that originated as a pilot, stars Disney Channel’s Bradley Steven Perry (Good Luck Charlie) and Jake Short (A.N.T. Farm). Created by Jim Bernstein (Disney’s Phineas And Ferb) and Andy Schwartz (Scrubs), Mighty Med follows best friends Kaz (Perry) and Oliver (Short) who, while unresolved out during their favorite comic book store, inadvertently learn a tip wing of a sanatorium that caters to superheroes and comic book characters. “Our Disney XD assembly will go on a tour with these characters, dual comic book fanboys whose adore and believe of sci-fi, anticipation and superheroes land them a coolest after propagandize pursuit ever — operative during Mighty Med, a sanatorium for super heroes,” pronounced Adam Bonnett, SVP Original Programming, Disney Channel. Also starring are visitor Paris Berelc as Skylar Storm and Devan Leos (Madea’s Witness Protection) as Alan. Production on a series, from It’s A Laugh Prods, will start in Jul in Los Angeles for a tumble 2013 premiere. Eric Dean Seaton destined a pilot, that was executive constructed by Stephen Engel (A.N.T. Farm) and Bernstein, with Schwartz portion as supervising producer. Bernstein is with CAA; Schwartz with APA and Rick Genow; Seaton with Principato-Young and Preferred Artists.
