(CNN) — Electronic Arts will be a disdainful provider of games formed on a Star Wars series, Disney and a diversion developer announced jointly on Monday.

Following Disney’s merger of Lucasfilm final year, it close down a LucasArts diversion growth division, indicating a welfare to permit console games rather than rise them in-house. Now, Electronic Arts will be a usually publisher formulating Star Wars games for a “core gaming audience,” according to today’s press release.

Electronic Arts pronounced that a in-house diversion teams DICE (Battlefield) and Visceral (Dead Space) will work on Star Wars titles, in further to BioWare, a group behind EA’s existent Star Wars MMO The Old Republic.

Meanwhile, Disney will “retain certain rights to rise new titles within a mobile, social, inscription and online diversion categories.”

My initial take: While this competence seem like a good arrangement for Electronic Arts and Disney, we can't see how holding divided a component of foe will be good for a peculiarity of Star Wars games.
