As if a fad of Star Wars Weekends in Walt Disney World wasn’t adequate for fans of a franchise, Lucasfilm and Disney have announced a new charcterised array debuting in Fall of 2014. The series, patrician Star Wars Rebels will have a premiere on a Disney Channel before relocating to a permanent home on Disney XD. According to a official press release, “The action-filled array is set between a events of Episode III and IV — an epoch travelling roughly dual decades never-before explored on-screen. Star Wars Rebels takes place in a time where a Empire is securing a hold on a universe and sport down a final of a Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion opposite a Empire is holding shape.” This advertised time duration will no doubt start conjecture as to either or not Darth Vader will play a distinguished purpose in a events of a series. Episode III ends with Anakin Skywalker entirely remade into Vader and his twin children, Luke and Leia, being sent to apart families to strengthen them. Episode IV starts with both children as immature adults and Vader in a position of higher energy in a Empire.

The series, already in production, will have 3 executive producers with clever pedigrees in a worlds of scholarship novella and fantasy. Simon Kinberg worked on X-Men: First Class and is one of a writers on a previously announced stand-alone Star Wars films.

Greg Wiseman has worked on The Spectacular Spider-Man and a mid-90’s Disney charcterised array Gargoyle, that was not intensely successfully during a run, though grown a “cult-like” standing after it was cancelled in 1997.

The third executive writer is Dave Filoni, who directed a renouned (and recently cancelled) Star Wars: The Clone Wars series. The central Lucasfilm press recover enclosed a video talk with Filoni and can be seen here.
